§ 5.10. Blocks.

  • 5.10.1.

    Block length. .....Blocks shall be a minimum of two hundred fifty (250) feet and a maximum of five hundred (500) feet in length. The subdivision agent may allow longer block lengths in limited cases where shorter block lengths would be impractical.

    5.10.2.

    Block width. .....Blocks shall be wide enough to allow two (2) tiers of lots at minimum depth as required by the underlying zoning. The subdivision agent may approve a single tier of lots of minimum depth where environmental conditions restrict the lot layout.

    5.10.3.

    Block orientation. .....Where a proposed subdivision will adjoin a major road, the subdivision agent may require that the greater dimension of the block front or back upon such major thoroughfare to avoid unnecessary ingress or egress.
