This district is intended for application in the development service district(s) as
designated by the Isle of Wight County Comprehensive Plan and to provide for the majority
of residential development for future population growth in areas served by public
utilities. This district permits moderate density development in a manner that is
consistent with the provision of a high-quality "suburban" character. Significant
areas of open space should be provided in this district in order to maintain this
