The vehicle parking provisions below are intended to effectively manage traffic flows and provide for an adequate number of parking spaces for vehicles while creating and maintaining vehicle areas which are safe, attractive, and functional for both pedestrians and motorists. In addition, consistent with the objective to reduce impervious surfaces, these standards are intended to promote improved management of stormwater in parking areas by limiting the number of spaces permitted and encouraging acceptable techniques of low impact design in the provision of essential parking areas.
