§ 11-3. Compliance with chapter; general penalty for violations.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to refuse, fail or neglect to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter or any rule or regulations promulgated pursuant thereto.

    (b)

    Every person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter when such violation does not constitute a felony, or who is convicted of violating any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant to this chapter, for which no other penalty is provided shall, for a first conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than ten dollars nor more than one hundred dollars or by imprisonment in jail for not less than one nor more than ten days, or both; for a second such conviction within one year, such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty dollars nor more than two hundred dollars or by imprisonment in jail for not less than one nor more than twenty days, or both; for a third or subsequent conviction within one year such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more than three hundred dollars or by imprisonment in jail for not less than ten days nor more than thirty days, or both.
