§ 11-26. Definitions.

For the purposes of this article, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:

Abandoned motor vehicle.\ A motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer that:

(a)

Is left unattended on public property for more than forty-eight hours in violation of a state or local ordinance; or

(b)

Is left unattended on the shoulder of a primary highway; or

(c)

Has remained for more than forty-eight hours on private property without the consent of property's owner, regardless of whether it was brought onto the private property with the consent of the owner or person in control of the property.

Demolisher.\ Any person whose business is to crush, flatten, or otherwise reduce a vehicle to a state where it can no longer be considered a vehicle.

Garage keeper.\ Any operator of a parking place, motor vehicle storage facility or establishment for the servicing, repair or maintenance of other vehicles. (10-3-74, §§ 1, 5; 9-21-17.)
