§ 14-69. Pretreatment facilities.

  • Where necessary, all owners will install suitable pretreatment facilities in order to comply with section 14-68. Plans, specifications, and any other pertinent information relating to proposed facilities for preliminary treatment and handling of wastes will be submitted for approval of the county and, to the extent necessary, any other authority, municipality, or governmental agency having jurisdiction. Such jurisdictional agencies shall determine or approve minimum design criteria. Construction of any such facility will not begin until approval is first obtained, in writing, from the county and such agencies. Whenever facilities for preliminary treatment and handling of wastes have been provided by any owner, these facilities shall be continuously maintained, at the expense of the owner, in satisfactory operating condition. The jurisdictional agencies will have access to such facilities at reasonable times for the purpose of inspection and testing. (5-21-09.)
