§ 2-28. When auxiliary deputy sheriffs may be called into service.

  • The Isle of Wight County Sheriff shall have the authority to call into service, members of the auxiliary deputy sheriff force as may be deemed necessary:

    (a)

    In times of public emergency,

    (b)

    At such times as there are insufficient numbers of regular deputy sheriffs to preserve the peace, safety and good order of the community, and

    (c)

    At any time for the purpose of training such auxiliary deputy sheriffs. (12-19-13.)
