The provisions of the building code shall govern the prosecution of violations of
such code as adopted in section 4-3 of this chapter; provided, that the building official or any person assigned to building
inspection who has been appointed as a special conservator of the peace shall have
the authority to serve a written notice of violation and to order the abatement of
such violation. The building official or any other special conservator of the peace
is hereby granted the authority to swear a summons to the general district court for
any person in the county who shall fail to obtain a lawful order contained in such
notice of violation. (10-20-16.)
