§ 8-21. Revocation.

  • In the event that the holder of any permit hereunder shall fail to comply with, abide by, or conform to this article or any requirements of the county health department, and upon complaint of the county health department, any permit issued hereunder may be revoked by the board of supervisors, its agent or duly appointed commission, without notice to the holder of such permit and shall have the power to seek and obtain injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent violations of this section, without a showing of irreparable harm. However, in the event that the board of supervisors grants an exclusive franchise to any person for the collection and disposal of refuse, the provisions of this section shall not apply while such franchise is in effect.

    Operating a private solid waste collection business without a permit as required herein shall be a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of five hundred dollars, with each day in violation constituting a separate offense. (8-21-06; 2-27-20.)
