§ 7-23. Storage limitations.

  • (a)

    Any person accumulating, storing or disposing of more than two hundred fifty used tires at any one time on a site within the county shall notify the fire official so that such information can be entered into the emergency response data base.

    (b)

    Any person proposing to accumulate, store or dispose of more than one thousand used tires, other than in a fully enclosed building or trailer, shall secure a permit approved by the fire official. The permit application shall be filed with the fire official and shall include sufficient plans, drawings and other information to demonstrate compliance with the performance standards set forth in section 7-24 below and shall be accompanied by an application/review fee as set forth in the Isle of Wight County Uniform Fee Schedule, as it may be amended from time. Permits issued shall be in effect for a period of two years from the date of issuance. (6-14-18.)
