§ 4-1. Purpose of article.

The purpose of this article is to preserve and secure the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Isle of Wight County, Virginia, and for those who are domiciled elsewhere but who visit or are employed in the county, by assuring proper construction, alteration, addition, repair, removal, demolition, location, use and occupancy, and maintenance of all buildings and structures and their service equipment within the county.
