§ 4-2. Establishment of building inspection department; duties of building inspector.

There is hereby established a building inspection department whose responsibility it is to enforce the provisions of this chapter. The cost of enforcement may be defrayed through the levying of fees by the county as provided in Section 36-105 of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended).

The building official or inspector shall be responsible for the organization and daily operation of the department. (10-20-16.)
