§ 7-26. Exception.

Any person holding a current and valid permit from the Virginia Department of Waste Management for the operation of a sanitary landfill shall be exempt from the permit requirements set forth in subsection 7-23(b). The fire official, however, may impose reasonable fire safety requirements on the operator including, but not limited to, any of the requirements set forth in section 7-24 above.
